RedLimitFreeway
I have had some good Ops using the Uganda as of late. This is with a 10-pt commander using just recommended skills and a ship with the recommended modules installed. Her guns are pretty good. I have also found that the 12 km range torpedoes can be quite useful for picking off bots at long range when their ships are clustered. May best torp games are not shown below. For the second game shown, I was the only one sunk on my team: I blew up from heavy cruiser fire just before "Victory" showed on the screen. -best Edited April 6 by RedLimitFreeway
Rolkatsuki
I did the D-day Ops in the PTS last weekend, have to say while the primary tasks are can be easily completed. 4 of the 5 secondary tasks are just virtually impossible even using those intel documents. Like it seems for the final stages for the Ops when the LSTs arrive, you team needs to be everywhere and each of your teammates and their ship needs to be up to the task they are handling, such as going north escorting landing ships from attacking german DDs, going to the middle of the map and shooting down planes and clearing out minefields they set up and along the coastline clearing out shore batteries. Frostbow
This one was a particularly close win in Aegis. I decided to position myself here to crossfire on those BBs after 4 of our ships were sunk even before the 3rd wave of IJN cruisers escorting the transports were destroyed. Frostbow
Sometimes I roam around the map while waiting for the rest of the team to finish the Operation. Countless times I've played Narai and yet it never ceases to amaze me how pleasant the color tone is.

YouSatInGum
Cherry is basically the new Narai.... at least if you don't have paid actors.... Here's a very average game for me where I made a couple of mistakes, but my teammates were also competent enough that I wasn't able to hoover up the whole pie... Atlanta is hands down the best ship for this since it's DD's heavy and that's Atlanta's bag having 315k HE DPM + the XP bonus for being a T7. If you have all T8 teammates the bots get about a 20-25% damage bonus (Aki's normally 1200 dmg shells averaged 500 a hit or 1500 dmg) and reload appeared to get a boost as well. I have had some 3k+ bxp games since rework and nerfs, however do wonder if there has been a stealth nerf to bxp. All blue booster... Now...on some of the ops like Frontier, I am close to positive the bxp payout has gotten a nerf. I can probably dig up some comparison screen shots that more or less confirm this where similar damage has -25+% payout... That said, others like Killer Whale I don't think have been touched. I can still get 2k+ for a comparatively low about of damage. ...and oddballs like Hermes where the design of the op and payout is supposed to have plane damage in it but WG "accidentally" excluded base plane damage with a bug, and then later decided it was a feature...not a bug. Anyway, I've had 500k plane damage games with SD and still get a middling payout.
Frostbow
Kii I decided to bring her once again to Operations, and as luck would have it, it was Ultimate Frontier. Went forward, hunted down the enemy Ranger, and sunk it. Our Tone was so sweet... "Get back," she said. 😄
Silence_CN
Well... No (team decided not to pay attention to objectives and only ONE other ship managed to arrive in the harbour 😤). Right after : Irian is a very interesting ship (at least in my eyes 🙂 )
Rolkatsuki
i had one really good game in the Harleem when grinding the dockyard missions in Ops for that cruiser potential dmg.
Rolkatsuki
so what ship is everyone taking to the upcoming D-day ops? for me its: Renown '44, good secondaries against schnielbotes and german DDs, fast with hydro to dodge torps, retains BB caliber main guns for the land forts. Atlanta, just an absolute menace to the reoccuring luftwaffe air raids with its AA suite combine in a package with ship drop depth charges something of a rarity on cruisers can easily clear out minefields, also has fast enough firing guns to dial in your shots on those tiny german boats/DDs along with radar to interrogate their smoke screen. Toulon, a lesser successful Renown '44 that occupies one of the team's more common cruiser slots instead of battling other BB players in queue for the starring 2 BB slots in a D-day ops team, still the Toulon remains tanky by tier 7 cruiser standards. West Virgina '44, im still working to get her in the dockyard mission, through I have used her in the PTS iteration of the d-day landings, her secondaries puts up quite a tremendous defence against attacking kriegsmarine assets even more so than the previously mentioned Renown '44, unlike her equally ops favourite Royal Navy brethen, WV '44 is slow that you will loose patience just to get those land based targets in gun range or getting out of the way of enemy ships' torpedo firing field, her AA is something to note while not phenomenal as the Atlanta's it still shreds planes out of the sky with def AA active with the bite that shouldn't be joked at. Strasbourg, for when you need the land base AA or batteries gone and gone quick, mildly to moderately reliant on the team on everything else, catapult fighter is late on countering the luftwaffe, main & secondary guns are inaccurate against the sea going versions of the VW Golf gti unless they're close enough to launch torps, tidious at clearing out mines with depth charge bombers. Uganda, dont look at me like that! im gonna grind her in the D-day landings, she's no Atlanta but she can pull her weight with the still fast firing 152mm main guns and better depth charge airstrikes than every other previously mention ship that isn't a Atlanta, aiding near compensatingly in clearing out mines.

For me BBs: West Virginia '44 (The secondaries are very good and the slow speed isn't too much of a problem in this mode), Renown '44 (Very agile, good secondaries and speed, the torpedos are very useful as well) Cruisers: Atlanta (Good AA, fast reload, radar and the depth charges are great for the minefields) DD's i haven't tried so far.
DoW_
The tier VII tech tree American light cruiser was very effective in the PTS, with better armor and more health than Atlanta. Its free 😎 Some amount of speed will be helpful in whatever BB folks choose. Good AA is helpful.
Rolkatsuki
oh yeah Helena was good, something i was initially expecting little from when i 1st tried her in the PTS, New Orleans is no slotch either but its more about hurting land targets than those water golf gtis. Algerie can pretty much do both jobs of both these US line cruisers since she couples her 203mm guns with mbrb but looses out on AA that the US cruisers are so famous for. at least Algerie's AA isn't like Eendracht's through its a helluva fun when you get dutch cruiser's airstrikes in range of those land fortifications she's also complimented by ship dropped depth charges, which are more viable in this op than depth charge airstrikes.

Frostbow
Mainz 18 Kills, 2522 Base XP But this is something I do not want to happen again as it is exhausting to carry a team even if it is only in PVE.

Frostbow
I'm grinding Hobart → Uganda, and this is her first time in Ultimate Frontier. After the first two DDs dealt with, I moved nearer to the approaching battleships, used smoke, and the farmed damage. Soon after, I wanted to go to the repair station but then another wave of cruisers spawned, and my ship instantly found herself in a precarious position. Game time in battle was just 12 minutes LOL! out of a total game time of 18 minutes. Also, someone instructed the Aoba to "go repair". 😄 Didn't expect to score first, given my ship lasted only 12 minutes.
Frostbow
I had a slow start with the Auckland that even Raptor pushed my poorly armored cruiser around. 😄
xamdam
Sad Panda for the (double) "Ray" that wasn't... I guess rentals don't get achievements? 36 torpedo hits on Newport in my "rental" Z-32. Well, more like 36 pool noodle love taps. I think that's probably my highest count of torpedo hits per match. Maybe came close on Aegis before in other DDs but I don't think I've ever landed 36. I was pretty stunned when I saw the tally. I'm running my 21pt Lutjens with Superintendent and the faster torp reload skill (can't remember the name off hand) so I have 2 smokes to play with as well. Kinda wish I could keep this boat for the meme value. It does quite well for itself in regular Ops. 1
Jagerbomb_2021
I haven't been playing ops much lately, but it's always nice to get Narai.
xamdam
Sure wish I could keep this rental car... errr, Z-32 for regular Ops. Just took it out for a spin and got Narai. Another 36 torps landed. lol Matched my Newport round a few days ago in torp hits. This thing can really spit out the pool noodles!
