Ramsalot Posted September 4 Share Posted September 4 The most amazing thing that I got for free in this game (as is in completely free, ships I got for FreeXP or Coal do not count) was Alaska B that dropped from the one premium crate you could get for free at some point. The ironic thing is that by that point in time I already had OG Alaska, so that black camo version was rather meh. I prefer to play original Alaska anyway. What amazing is that my kid got Scharnhorst B under the same exact conditions (totally free, but he already had regular Scharnhorst). I did not appreciate that ship until I actually got into destroyers much later, and realized how powerful that DD really is. Yep, have done so on numerous occasions. But that involves buying the ship to gift. But, when I can get the deep-water torpedoes to hit "just right", they can do some damage. The conealment radius is larger than I'd like and the dive-time isn't long enough, based upon my initial impressions. Yet, the deck-gun is manually controlled, which is nice.
