I love the Wisconsin.

I never thought I would say this, but I love the Wisconsin. I don't care for the other Iowa Class BBs, not even the Missouri. But the Wisconsin is very fun to play. Mostly because it has exceptional accuracy that works even at 27km.

Got my first win in Randoms this morning after 2 defeats last night. Managed to get 2 Devastating Strikes (Duncan @ 5.7km, Yorktown @ 18km) in one game (don't remember ever doing that before, lol), a Confederate and High Caliber.

Had similar damage dealt in the 2 games I lost last night. Wisconsin is an excellent damage dealer.

Anyway, just want to say the Wisconsin is fun to play.  Good luck to everyone who is trying to get it. Definitely worth it.

Running the few Red Credit Boosters I have to get the Dockyard Token for credit mission to get the extra steel.

Two defeats last night.

Yup. Love mine. It's the most fun ship I've played in years.

Hope they don't hit it with a nerf bat. The only way I see that happening is if too many people play it.

I love it too! my first and second Random battles have been 140k and I KNOW for a fact I am not utilizing it to its best ability! Easily one of my favorite ships and the fun factor is up there with the Napoli for me!

Just got over 4 million in potential damage with the Wisconsin, which surprises me, lol.  It really is a fun ship to play.  Really hope they don't nerf it.

Very happy with my new ship.

Three straight wins so far. Blew a giant chunk of hp off a broadside Napoli, which doesn't happen often.

I am, once again, temporarily out of my available "reactions".
Thumbs-up to everyone in this topic.  🙂 👍

Everybody keeps mentioning how much fun this ship is to play.  Can you be more specific?  What makes it 'fun'?  I'm just curious as I evaluate how much effort and money I would have to put into this Dockyard to get it.  Thanks

It has the excellent 406mm super-heavy AP found on Iowa, Montana, etc. with  battlecruiser/large cruiser dispersion and access to the American slot 6 dispersion upgrade, which gives -11% dispersion vs. ASM1’s (slot 3 for non-American BBs) -7%.

The hull is based on that of Illinois (lower citadel placement than Iowa/Missouri) but has the improved armor found on Missouri.

The combat instruction is both offensive and defensive in nature, offering -50% main battery reload (essentially MBRB) as well as -80% cooldown on her consumables (notably her DCP and RP).

Being able to hit the things you shoot at makes it fun. Even able to hit things at 27km. I have yet to get less than 140k damage in a Random game.

I have actually brawled with it a bit as well. Destroyed an almost full health Duncan that was broadside at less than 6km with one volley. Have taken pretty big hits in close quarters and have been able to shake them off.

Also, the reload bonus module for your guns also applies to consumables so your repair is restored too when it is activated. Seems to have good survivability because of that.

I haven't paid attention to the speed of it, but it does seem pretty agile in my opinion because a lot of the 4.4 million potential damage came from people missing when I was maneuvering.

It's just a fun, versatile ship to play.

Yeah, the below water citadel (one of the lowest BB cits in the game IIRC, and definitely so for high tiers), means you shouldn't take brawling cits unless shells do underwater hits. So any big damage you take is more healable, similar to the main German BB line.
