OT2_2 Posted April 22 Share Posted April 22 I really feel betrayed by WG in this Asym Battle. In literally the very last second of the game (final countdown) a "Tiger" hits me with a single torpedo from an impossible angle ... After I managed to fight off all enemies, BB and DD, successfully on my own the last period of the battle > 5 min. I really don't believe in any unlikely coincidences here. hipcanuck Posted April 23 Share Posted April 23 (edited) A little GK action, still my favourite as it can take a beating because if you are going to be within 12km of more than one red ship.....you are gonna get a beating. Firepower and durability, coupled with Lutjens' talents, make for a potent combination that can push those Richelieus, Amagis, Monarchs, and all those 'improved' bots into submission. Whenever I see a Schlieffen or a GK, or worse, a division of it, I know it would be a struggle for me and my Des Moines to land first place on the team scoreboard. 😄 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Still it felt good to outscore the rest of the 'team'. Finally, a different map. And this one feels better; I thought our Mecklenburg—with her main battery and trademark German secondaries—would dominate the boards. Turned out Stalin himself placed a gun on RNG's head and threatened to pull the trigger if the bots were instructed to go for the German battleship. I placed my YouTube on my About Me section in Profile Settings. OT2_2 Posted May 2 Share Posted May 2 (edited) Mackensen, a dream of a BC! I have to admit that I'm proud about this and what I achieved. Our Scharnhorst throw herself away just to kill ships in close combat and our Fuso made a very private hunt on the enemy's CV. So I took responsibility and defended our cap with a mixture of flexibility and tenacity. That payed off! Two dev- strikes on cruisers and in general very good performance of the artillery, something I'm used to on Mackenesen. But Akizuki match holding the B cap for most of the game with only intermittent spotting by our CV. 30 something defense ribbons and almost 20 plane kills. Almost perfect game play from my side, but at the end of the battle I realized that I should not secure victory for my team (and not getting the full number of credits of course). Bots hitting you from 20 km with the first salvo although perfectly angled, any HE hit means you burn and you self are aiming at point blank range and are not making enough or any dmg.
