When I was young, a local school performed the play "Oliver".

There was a girl who performed the song "Who Will Buy" in a manner that really touched my heart.
I still get tears in my eyes when I remember.

Anyway, I saw @SoshiSone's "I Dreamed A Dream" song, above, and was reminded.

Finding a good version on youtube has been a challenge, for me.
So, I'm including the lyrics, insstead.

Quote

Who Will Buy? lyrics

ROSE SELLER

Who will buy my sweet red roses?
Two blooms for a penny.
Who will buy my sweet red roses?
Two blooms for a penny.

MILKMAID

Will you buy any milk today, mistress?
Any milk today, mistress?

ROSE SELLER

Who will buy my sweet red roses?

MILKMAID

Any milk today, mistress?

ROSE SELLER

Two blooms for a penny.

STRAWBERRY SELLER

Ripe strawberries, ripe!
Ripe strawberries, ripe!

STRAWBERRY SELLER

Ripe strawberries, ripe!
MILKMAID

Any milk today,
mistress?
ROSE SELLER

Who will buy my sweet
red roses?
KNIFE GRINDER

Knives, knives to
grind!
Any knives to grind?
Knives, knives to
grind!
Any knives to grind?
Who will buy?

STRAWBERRY SELLER

Who will buy?

MILKMAID

Who will buy?

ROSE SELLER

Who will buy?

OLIVER

Who will buy
This wonderful morning?
Such a sky
You never did see!

ROSE SELLER

Who will buy my sweet red roses?

OLIVER

Who will tie
It up with a ribbon
And put it in a box for me?

STRAWBERRY SELLER

Ripe strawberries, ripe!

OLIVER

So I could see it at my leisure
Whenever things go wrong
And I would keep it as a treasure
To last my whole life long.

MILKMAID

Any milk today?

OLIVER

Who will buy
This wonderful feeling?
I'm so high
I swear I could fly.

KNIFE GRINDER

Knives! Knives to grind!

STRAWBERRY SELLER

Ripe strawberries, ripe!

OLIVER

Me, oh my!
I don't want to lose it
So what am I to do
To keep the sky so blue?
There must be someone who will buy...

LONG SONG SELLER

Who will buy?

KNIFE GRINDER

Who will buy?

MILKMAID

Who will buy?

ROSE SELLER

Who will buy?

COMPANY AND OLIVER

Who will buy
This wonderful morning?
Such a sky
You never did see!

Who will tie
It up with a ribbon
And put it in a box for me?

There'll never be a day so sunny,
It could not happen twice.
Where is the man with all the money?
It's cheap at half the price!

Who will buy
Who will buy
This wonderful feeling?
I'm so high
I swear I could fly.
Me, oh my!
I don't want to lose it
So what am I to do
To keep the sky so blue?

OLIVER

There must be someone who will buy...

MILKMAID

Must be someone

STRAWBERRY SELLER

Must be someone

KNIFE GRINDER

Must be someone

ALL

Who will ... buy?

This is old-time country music. Daughter June would later marry Johnny Cash.

This is the even older iteration of the Carter Family. Mamma Maybelle is the one with the guitar. The girls are not related but married the Carter brothers. They are considered one of the first country music groups in America.

The melody of this hundred-year-old song by the original Carter Family can be heard in the later country-western hit "The Wild Side of Life."

June Carter's daughter, Carlene, also became a country music singer, carrying on a hundred-year-old family music tradition.

Not the biggest Neil Young fan but ran across this video and it's just really really good. He's so young it's 1971 53 years ago lol.

Song always reminds me of one of my favorite movies American Graffiti.

That one takes me back. It was one of the few non-country songs in the jukebox outside the gym at my high school.

I was born in Germany but I don't speak the language. However, it seems to me that these two ladies may be saying something about going back to yodeling school.

I have a soft spot for "Oom-pah" music. Thanks to internet radio, I often listen to, depending on my mood, Volksmusikwelle out of Munich, which plays Bavarian folk music and polka during the day.

VOLKSMUSIKWELLE von laut.fm – Echte traditionelle Volksmusik.

Ah... in Bavaria, where the mountains stick out of the ground!

This clip has some of that music you like. It's hidden under 'spoiler' so us not to cause offense. Too much, anyway. The traditional restaurants in Bavaria seem to have excellent service... all the way.

I just finished watching a series called "Disenchantment" on Netflix. It's an interesting take on the fairy-tale genre. It's not the best series but I'd rate it about a 6.5/10 -- worth watching if nothing better is on. It's by Matt Groening (Futureama; The Simpsons).

I've seen it advertised and watched a portion of the first episode.
I'll give them credit for original story concepts.
But, I didn't finish the first episode and haven't resumed watching.
Netflix has created or financed a lot of their own original series, in addition to purchasing the broadcast rights to content they didn't create "in-house".
They're willing to take some interesting chances, which seem to be paying-off overall.
