Played the drums on and off mostly off for the last 20 years. Here is a 22 year old Santana and a 19 year old Michael Shrieve on the drums at Woodstock. One of the best live performances you will see.

Also Santa was paid only 750 dollars for there set at Woodstock. But they became famous after the exposure  album and movie came out . Well worth it!

American "GAMMERA!" Song by Wes Farrell & The Moons (1966)

Quote

★ Written by Wes Farrell and performed by The Moons for Harris Associates, Inc. for the motion-picture "GAMMERA THE INVINCIBLE", distributed by World Entertainment Corp.
★ When this film was syndicated to television it was absorbed by NTA (National Telefilm Associates) which is now Republic Pictures Corporation, currently owned by Viacom.
★ Wes (whom was only 27 years old at the time) wrote the music with 1 lyric: "GAM-RAAA!" This obscure theme song is now in the public domain.
© *The character of Gamera was created by Daiei Motion Pictures Ltd. in 1965 and is now currently owned by Kadokawa Pictures of Japan.

In the same vein:

A father-daughter duet, what's more. (Nat had died by the time this was done.)

If I can time it just right, this is what I play to get me pumped for high-speed DD Yolo charges in co-op:

And because of the album cover, the first 55 seconds of this is what I play to kick off every Mikasa game:

Vampire 2's theme music is too obvious to need mention, but for the record:

(The song became notoriously popular during the 1983 America's Cup challenge, in the process of which the New York Yacht Squadron got its aft handed to it for the first time in over a hundred years and the Aussies rubbed the point in so hard the water turned red.)

Earth, Wind & Fire (no, not the band), a 2024 freshly released song. It's apparently something called 'hyperpop', but it kind of has those groovy vibes I tend to like.

🤣... 'modern' is so relative... Dido's stuff is 20-25 years old at this point.

Since you are into J-pop and stuff, try a girl band...

Eh... thanks but I don't think that's exactly my preferred kind of music.

I don't, as such, listen to music much these days, so it's mostly what YouTube 'feeds' me or what I randomly remember to search for.

Hmm... stuff like this, for instance, if we are talking about girl bands and female artists.

Hope you can see all these.

Well, I've been shifting focus more and more to Asia in the past years, also when it comes to contemporary music. While western rock/pop from.... last millennium... still sounds good, pretty much everything barring a few isolated exception these days is... well, can't say it out loud or the mods will give me a warning but I'm sure you catch my drift.

The SEA music scene still seems vibrant, so I keep tabs on both older and newer music from that area, including J-pop and K-pop. Most of it is something that does not tickle my fancy in any particular way, but with some songs either the rhythm or the melody is the right kind for me.
