@Snargfargle Maybe we need to start using something like the Akinator approach? At least when it comes to the tougher nuts people struggle to crack.

I didn't know about that, until you mentioned it.

Thanks.
I'm simply going to plead ignorance of Amy Rigby's works and career.
For whatever reaason(s), she wasn't on my music awarness during her heyday, even though I was alive and of the right age to be exposed to her work.  Possibly some of my school classmates who were into the punk & altrenative music scene might have known about her.

I'll have invoke the same ignorance plead as you did.

I also don't remember where Amy Rigby was mentioned previously in this thread.

The song Amie by Pure Prairie League.

A ship's Rigging.

The female singer is the same age as Joan Jett.

Life is a Rock is a song about other songs.

Has something to do with dancing and punk rock.

And the closest guess was a band called the Ramones.

Here is the answer:

I have to agree with Wolf obscure artist very hard clues and I think you would be hard pressed to find many people who know the lyrics to this song. She is a critic favorite though

IIRC, I managed to beat Akinator once, but can't remember who I was thinking about (no, it wasn't myself...)

The Ramones were though. I though an image of a girl dancing with a punk rocker right after a mention of the Ramones would easily lead to "Dancing with Joey Ramone." An alternative acceptable answer would have been:

I'm reminded of the Batman television series and movie scenes, wherein Batman & Robin (and occasionally the Bat Computer or even Alfred the Butler) work together to use the available clues to solve a riddle from the Riddler or some other challenge from the master-criminal of the episode in question.  🙂

Batman: The Movie (1966)- The four villains

Nope.  🙂
The Riddler and others followed "the rules" of riddles.

I will grant that using an A.I. generated image is perhaps more difficult than using carefully chosen words.

For this riddle, initially no AI generated image (because Bing blocked it no less than four times in a row...):

To the fat man and his strange dog,

"Including... my beloved wife" he said,

In the evil place named in whispers,

Dacow, where the rhymes go a-missing.

What is the movie I'm thinking about?

🤔  Might take me a while.

Well, you can try the Akinator approach if you got the energy for it. I'll be posting a visual AI image to give more clues, at this point here's an extra verbal clue.

'He' in the above poem is a brown cow. Dacow is where he is, though probably not for very long....

You cracked that clue, and you now have to pieces of the answer. "Beloved wife", and Ricardo Montalban. Those two together should help you figure out the movie.

It seems that you are referring to a star trek fan trope that likely didn't really occur.

"Deleted dialog from Khan's first scene mentions his "beloved wife," Lt. McGivers, by name.

We can’t find a reputable source of this claim, let alone a quote."

Well better opening than a "Dear John"... I'll have to think about that, guitars, books, and a letter.

Here's a bit of movie trivia concerning Ricardo Montalban's chest.
