That's not a muskrat but let's just say we'll go with that. The actual song is sort of like those pre-code 30s songs that your great grandparents pretended that they never listened to when they were going to the bootleg bars that they never went to either.

Good song but I don't believe Cherilyn Sarkisian plays a guitar. I could be wrong but, again, close but no cookie.

Hint:

It's Magic I know, but... hmm

Well, there are different kinds of magic. There's stage magic, and white magic, and...

@Snargfargle Funny you should mention these fine establishments. Anyone, name the song, please.

Hmm... a song about drinking and money, that should really narrow it down. 😄

Feel free to ask for hints.

I should have realized the pentagram meant something, but when there are two women in black related songs I'm more familiar with, those kind of overtake all others.

Glad I got it, because the next dark lady on my list would have been...

How about this:

No, I don't think it's one of those newer songs. I don't think it's a gambling joint either.

Oh, I checked, this one's released only 11 years later than the riddle song.

That's better than the song I had in mind so let's call it that.

Is it a whisky bar?

How about this 60's classic?

Hint: Listen to the original version of the Army song and also take a glance at the history of US small arms production for the singer's name.

Well, "Browning" is the name of a US firearm's manufacturing company but I'm thinking about something more along the lines of a US government facility here, and also the trail that the caissons go rolling along.

I 'staged' this maybe in too early an era, I just checked the background of this song... I'm thinking how much I dare give you cues here... at this point let's say the joint in question is a dance hall, and it's not a whisky bar but something called the 'hostess room' which apparently is like a lobby.

I'm somewhat familiar with the "oldies" because I like to try to play them on my guitar and also used them for all of my WOWS song parodies as most people have heard them sometime in their lives. Let me think on this a bit. Also, I need to think a bit on why I'm up at 4:00 AM too.

?

A depot is what comes to mind, but can't figure out what the song might be.

Incidentally, in most versions of the song, the singer is a woman (one of the hostesses).

Depot is close. WOWS has one of these in its game. The song is the original version of the US Army song, which I never heard sung once during my six years in the Army

Sneaky you, I think you slipped the name of the song in your reply to @Mono_De_Mantequilla.
