Guess the movie quote from an AI rendition

Let's see what you can make of this. Best tip, this ain't a Swedish song. I had trouble getting this shot, because the AI doesn't like the combination of girls and cars. Got blocked a couple of times.

What can she do for you, and what's her name?

Easy one... well, I actually have heard this song before, but my memory is like that train, gets gradually emptied along the journey.

Actually, without some of the clues, it could have been "Midnight Train to Georgia" by Gladys Knight & the Pips.  Full moon=Midnight.

It was the the mail sacks that probably were the key.

Gave me a heart attack (almost) posting that quickly after I had just posted my song riddle.

Easy one.  The City of New Orleans - Arlo Guthrie.  Fantastic song.

I've been playing it this morning and have pretty much got it down. However, that one A# chord is giving me fits. My stubby Bavarian fingers don't do Barre Chords. I'm trying to find a chord or make up my own that sounds OK on the "gone" but am having little success. It's no use transposing either because it only changes the barre chords you have to play to some other place.

Lot's of train songs. "A friend of mine named Steve Goodman wrote that song..."

When someone else is singing this song, won't it sound a bit weird with Jesus calling them by this man's name?

That song only mentions a train once but Steve Goodman wrote both it and the City of New Orleans. If you have a songwriter who writes a song specifically for you to sing, you can have him include your name.

I've written over 200 WOWS song parodies. Most of them were just silly, insider gamer jokes. However this one, I think, is actually a decent nautical alternate version of the song.

The Pirate and the Captain

Serving ‘neath the masts, my friend
Was gonna keep us lean and mean
But now the ships wear skins of iron
Their boilers’ fired from coal a-gleam

To captain our own sailing ships
Was our one and only dream
And we almost cried when we said goodbye
To serve the ships of steam

After the war, you turned to piracy
In a steam corvette of polished steel
Five Parrott Rifles on its deck
For all the merchantmen to fear

But you finally met your match, you know
Down on the Gulf of Mexico
And only I heard your dying words
But that's the way it goes

All the other captains say
They could have sunk you any day
They only let you sail so long
Out of kindness, I suppose

Now, the Captain, he don't sing the blues
All night long like he used to
The words he spoke o'er his friend down south
Ended up stuck in his mouth

The day he laid the Pirate low
The Captain took his ship in tow
And where it finally ended up
Well, there ain't nobody knows

And all the other captains say
They could have caught him any day
They only let him get away
Out of kindness, I suppose

Well, the bards sing of how the Pirate fell
But they say his family’s doing well
The Gulf is quiet, its winds blow cold
And so the story ends, we're told

The Pirate needs your prayers, it's true
But save a few for the Captain, too
'Cause he only did what he had to do
And now he's growing old

And all the federales say
They could arrest him any day
They only let him hang around
Out of kindness, I suppose

The Mechanic by Rascal Flatts?  What can she do?  “…baby you fix me.”  Don’t know her name though.

I'm wondering if more clues and hints might be needed, but... well, here we go:

She's a 'mechanic' in a figurative sense, it's engine related but ... and I had to use the word 'engine' with the AI because it blocked the other thing I was trying to get her to work on. (No, it was not a naughty word, I don't know why AI prefers 'engine'.) The other thing that she does is that she has this strange effect on men, they begin to stutter. Weird, huh?

N-n-now that should help.

She's motorin'

Either that or this. However, it's the girl, not the guy who stutters.

And said,
You ain't seen nothin' yet
Baby, you just ain't seen n-n-nothin' yet

Her name must be Sharona then.

That's another good guess. Don't delve too deeply into the lyrics of that song, however, if you want this to remain a "family friendly" forum. That said, 70s rock doesn't hold a candle to early 30s jazz music in that respect.

View at your own risk if you are easily offended. Don't make the mistake of thinking that your great-grandparents were prudes.

The lyrics and song title are in the picture. The singer-songwriter is quite famous both for his own performances and for writing songs sung by others. I'll actually accept two of his songs here.

Bonus song by the same person. Can you guess its title?

They also say that in order for something to stick in your memory, you either need a massive number of repeats (meaning 'rote') or a strong enough association.

It's also much easier to learn things if you are having fun. I spent a huge amount of time trying to make my courses fun for the students. This wasn't a problem for the field classes and most of the labs but a bit more difficult during the lectures. However, I tried to make even them as fun as possible by doing things like turning my vocabulary lists into crossword puzzles. I also used a lot of dry humor on my students, like when I'd let the department's five-foot iguana roam around my classroom until a student asked if he was dangerous and then tell them that he wasn't right now because I'd fed him during my last lecture and, by the way, if you see a pool of red stuff on the floor just walk around it.

If that was for a movie I can think of two off the top of my head, one with a paperboy that wants his 2 dollars (Monique) and one with giant robots hidden in plain sight. (Mikaela) note that those are the girl's names, not the movies.

As for a song though, not sure I have the knack for that....

Spoiler

The movies are Better off Dead and Transformers

The first reminds me of 'The Days of Wine and Roses' by Mancini, the second 'Dead Man's Party' by Oingo Boingo.

No connection I'm aware of, and highly doubt that's either of them.

@Mono_De_Mantequilla That would be the correct answer. Here's a pretty cover version of the song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIS4zOH70pg

@Snargfargle 'Skeleton in blue jeans'? I'm going to be wanting more clues later on, I fear. BTW, I have a train image under consideration, very similar to your dining wagon, probably a very different song though, something I ran into accidentally when trying to figure out your previous train riddle.

I had also been thinking of posting that exciting Harry Roy song somewhere. Lol.

'The Days of Wine and Roses'

You are really close on the titles of the first two songs. The last one is a bit more tongue in cheekl, though the title contains something seen in the picture. It's both metaphorical and literal.

Think of a single singer-songwriter.

@Admiral_Karasu

@Amaruk

@Wolfswetpaws

Hint: Some consider the singer to be a real jewel.
