Ships of the Canadian Navy - Ideas for Future Tech Lines?

Low Tier:

Canada purchased two cruisers before world war 1 to serve as training vessels:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMCS_Rainbow_(1891)

3,600 ton protected cruiser of the Apollo class.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Niobe_(1897)

11,000 ton protected cruiser of the Diadem class.

In 1920, Canada purchased three ships to replace the above two ships:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Aurora_(1913)

3,500 ton protected cruiser of the Arethusa class.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Patriot_(1916)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Patrician_(1916)

Both M class destroyers.

High Tier

Aircraft Carriers - Canada operated a number of aircraft carriers of British designs:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMCS_Bonaventure

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMCS_Magnificent

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Warrior_(R31)

There are some destroyers of interesting design for anti-sub warfare from the 1950s if we want to talk gimmicks and super ships.

All in all, an interesting set of ships.

There is definitely enough here to warrant a DD and CV line, I'd wager.

Hmm. Wiki and Ship Fitter tool don't have depth charge information yet.

Where is the best source of that information that doesn't require me to have the game open?

@Daniel_Allan_Clarktry this page from wiki:  Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) - Global wiki. Wargaming.net

Pretty much gives all the info you'll need regarding all things ASW.  There is a lot of info there.

Let me know if that is not what you're looking for exactly.

In the future, you are free to make a topic in general discussion. What you are asking may get lost under "Canadian" ship ideas!

Perfect.

Thanks!

The original Arethusa's weren't protected cruisers, per se - they were the first proper British light cruisers with an armoured belt and 30 knot+ speed, very much the fore-runners of the C Class we already have in game (although there were seven generations of C Class, which shows the progress made with this type over the course of WW1, as well as their conversions to AA cruisers in the 1930s).

Aircraft carriers.  Replace the plan shown with an F35-B.

Air wing not big enough?  Produce a bunch of these and lash them together.

HMCS Warrior, HMCS Magnificient, HMCS Bonaventure

More actual aircraft carriers in service than multiple WoWs countries with tech tree CV lines...
