Honestly, I watched Speed Racer again, and realized it was actually a pretty darn good anime adaptation, especially when compared to a lot of failed ones we're getting nowadays (Cowboy Bebop stands out for this). Sure, it's crazy colorful (almost TOO much color) but the characters are pretty on-point imo. Couldn't have beaten John Goodman as Pops though. TV Series 2003–2018 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417373/ The Legend of the Galactic Heroes collaboration was a nice collaboration, and I wouldn't mind them doing it again. Yup, and the cool calm male voice lines from LOGH are quite nice to have during the heat of battle. There's a reason I set ARP Nachi/Gunzo Chihaya instead of characters like ARP Ashigara when I am in the mood of using anime voicelines. Calm voices doesn't hurt my head. Frederica Greenhill is the commander I welcomed to my port, from that collaboration. Pleasant to listen to, in my opinion.
