Yes I'd have been considerably happier if my particular haul had at least one more cruiser which is the class I play the most. And my greed would have really appreciated a T9 showing up. However what I got was "free" with some time and effort and at least they are no longer in my pool for future chances. Because yeah, my haul of the season was a T5 DD, a T6 CV from the rare pool, and a T7 grab bag of a CL, DD, and BB. With the one cruiser I received being normally available for coal (the Lazo) and simply I hadn't gotten around to buying it yet. *shrugs* Personally I've gotten more use out of the Dmitry Podharzsky and Scharnhorst '43 that were available to anyone with enough effort. Bomont Posted January 10 Share Posted January 10 For free, I picked up 33 Santa gifts (got T6 London, T7 Hood and 500 dubs), 7 big santa gifts (none of the big prizes) and 8 Mega Santa gifts (got T9 Iwami). I bought the premium Santa City, and got 3 more Mega's (got T7 Collingwood, along with T7 Stord, captains, etc.). I bought the 4 Big Santa gifts for coal from the Salvage for Victory (nothing special - just credits and blue econ bonuses). I bought the progressive bundles for 8778 doubloons and it gave 12 Santa gifts, 3 Big gifts and 3 Mega gifts (got 1,500 dubs from a big) along with the other stuff. So total 45 Santa gifts, 14 Big and 14 Mega got me a T6, 2xT7, a T9 (a good roll since I had quite a few ships in the lower tier category) and 2,000 doubloons. Save for Leipzig, I was going to get a Tier 7 at least, so I figured it was worth it. Turned out to be much better than the 20 Megas I bought two weeks ago, which only rolled a Collingwood: this was the only premium time drop this Christmas/New Year's, which is especially welcome since I had less than a month left. I'm wondering if I shouldn't go Big over Mega next year, even with the free crates: the expected value is lower, but with more crates to open one is less likely to be a victim of catastrophically bad luck... I took mine out for naval battles this afternoon (co-op), and slapped the bot GC in one salvo from my front guns only. 4 citadels and a normal penetration. Kynami Posted January 27 Share Posted January 27 Polished off the free portion of the Dockyard this morning. Sadly no ship was hiding in the final two mega crates, just boxes of 20 each for blue CXP and FXP boosters. Which means my total run off the santa crates for the year remains at six ships total.
