Friedrich and Constellation (temporary coupons), but kept the rest for Mega boxes (20 of them, plus a couple free). The idea was that, having all Tier 5 and 6 premiums from the list, buying Tier 7 through the boxes would be cheaper...on average. Thing is, I managed to draw a result in the bottom 10% of the odds 😪 I mean...the blue boosters are nice (even those for ship xp: I'm a few regrinds away from the Kitakami), but no premium time, no dubs, and the coal I don't really need, having all the Tier 10 ships for it already. Overall this Christmas event: 45 Mega boxes, 13 Big, 43 Small the expected value was 9.4 ships, 105 days of premium, 7425 dubs, 53,725 coal and stuff I got 5 ships, 0 days of premium, 500 dubs, 77,500 coal and stuff Needless to say, I'm disappointed. Converting the value of premium time and flat dubs into ships, it's about 5 ships vs 12. Even before gambling (30 Euros, not the end of the world), the output was being shitty. There is this theory that they positively rigged free crates to get you buy the paid ones, which are also negatively rigged to keep you gambling. I pulled a rare, a T9, and two T8s from free crates. Also there was a guy (a guy averaged their clan drops, which was 21.5 ships in 100 crates, this was the luckiest drop) pulling Smalland, Thunderer, and Musashi, and 180 days of premium from 4 free crates. I definitely did slightly above average on doubloons and avoided the camo drops pretty well. Surprised no red commander xp boosts at all but that is also the one I have the most of already. It gave me the last few possible ships in this order, Sun yat-sen, halford, tromp, and brisbane. The last two saved me about 500k in coal. I've been playing since alpha, so something like this is not possible to new players. I am basically forcing the game to give me all rare ships as there's nothing left for it to give me. Worked fine for me with a 10 pt Captain and 0 experience on CVs... Her gameplay loop is quite simple and only 2 squadron types makes her easier to learn. I lay CVs recreationaly (but never in Randoms)... but the fact is that out of 5 ships I got from Santa 4 are Tier VI (ans mostl meh)... bad bad bad luck...
