Reinventing square wheels...

It's still an advantage in an absolute manner (in contrast to the "sidegrade or different gaming experience" doctrine of the current RB) over the standard set of one unique commander and only two seasoned commanders, with any other researchable ships have to be commanded by regular commanders.

Superships after their early access periods are much better in terms of availability (at least 3 Tech tree T10s and the T10 from the Supership's respective branch, with enough credits) in contrast to, say, an analogy of locking all superships behind an NTC/RB grind.

seasoned commanders are weaker than unique commander and retraining a seasoned commander to move it to another ship is cheaper than using free exp to turn a new one to lv 21 so whats the big issue here?

You are again missing the point, though on another hand it is indeed more acceptable than locking superships behind regrind walls.

It's not comparing seasoned to unique, it is comparing multiple seasoned ones to the current situation of besides some special promo there are at most 2 seasoned commanders for each faction and the implication of awarding veteran/try-hard players with ship performance advantage over their casual counterparts.

And that bicycle should be considered as a tracked vehicle rather than square wheels.
