OT2_2 Posted October 13 Share Posted October 13 First and foremost (real) game on German DD "K. Schoenberg" in Ranked bronze. I like to play those artillery - and AP focussed German DD. She didn't disappoint me and her torps haven't been bad either. For someone who likes playing "Z - 31" "K. I have that ship from a Santa Crate but I hardly play low tier PVP ever since Operations were opened to Tier VIII and now, up to Tier XI. My memory is a bit hazy now; that DD, K. That's the compensation for having no smoke. Being fully sec - specced (12 km range) gives her the little extra punch and advantage in combination with hydro and torps. Imagine saying to a 9-year Veteran DD Main: "We gonna give you a DD that has Swedish sounding name which is also very cool ("Hunter"), thats has best in class conceal, Ultrafast Sidewinder torps that reload from 58-ish seconds to in best case something like 36-ish seconds. You probably not going to dev strike a T10 or T11 BB but you will Shiv them to death with a hundred pokes and you will break every module and engine and flood them so they will wish they never heard of this game". "You will also get a heal that will make you survive even a few gunfights done properly" "We will also give you a Special captain that will boost you're torp reload ... not once ... not twice ... but how many times you like after each 8 strikes" "It will be super fun to play and you will have good chance at striking ships and DDs in smoke, good chance to take caps and spot a whole lot during the match" Sure, you might not get a 220 K game each time... But every match you play you will have a massive (unless you get 11 Donkeys) impact on the game and probably the win ...... and you will have SUPER FUN doing it! Totally nuts out there with the bounty thing. Had a couple lost games that could have been wins because people focus them vs the objectives. But whatever. Got my 1st every bounty today (usually avoid playing during that event) and a win to boot. Not a great game by me but I played objectives and played smart as there were T9's in the match and a LOT of BB's. Wanted to charge and brawl but just was not the game to do it based on where I was and the reds against me. Got rewarded with a red bounty ship near the end. Was 4 per side. Most I have seen in a game as well. Funny I win a low 67K damage game with Atlantico but lose the one where I had 102K LOL. ency Posted Thursday at 01:52 PM Share Posted Thursday at 01:52 PM I remember the Bounty thing was so in Randoms that not every battle had a bounty ship, and sometimes the bounty ship was your alley and that meant you didn't have any bounty opportunity at all. I think the wisest is to play Winsconsin etc long gun range ship and make the gun rane setup maximum, and you don't play for victory but only shoot the bounty marked ship and try to get a last killing shot on him. Even more extreme but benefitial would be yolo and die quickly in non bounty MMs to get quickly a new battle. I looked at the contest prizes, the 1000 steel prize there is quite low if you think that a ship costs ca 30'000 steel. In Rankeds you can get such amount of steel as well. And the main prize of a premium T8 Sub probably isn't very attractive to majority because the community doesn't love Subs. Rankeds players spend most of the time in T9-T10, and subs are not very effective vehicle type there. But who likes Subs and Randoms and T8 then that ship can motivate of course to try that bounty thing. Maybe beside long range BBs also subs can be effective for bounties. But probably not, because it takes ages to swim for them, and the target probably dies before they arrive. I forgot CVs, they are best probably for getting bounties.
