Edit: Just looked at the list that is available to me. 43 out of 68 available to me are tier 8. I say the odds are in my favor to get a tier 8. This might astonish some people, but I haven't had any sympathies for "Schlieffen" during a long time. I couldn't make her performing well, but now I'm finally getting used to her and vice versa. Everyone on my team except the Karl XIV were sank even before the DD's came to attack the repair base, lol. Was able to sit on the repair base and survive the battle and achieve most of the objectives except sinking the enemy carrier. Ended up as a Victory. I believe this is my best Operations game so far. Basically, it was impossible to get anything repaired in the repair zone because the enemies were actually taking off more hps than the repair could fix. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The lost star was in a battle that ended with me against the enemy Parseval, my capture flip progress being constantly reset in a "death by a thousand cuts" kind of situation. The saved star was also in a battle with CVs where I managed to First Blood the red Black, got High Caliber then succumbed against their Yugumo due to the HP lost on the previous DD vs. DD encounter (plus a couple of rocket attacks). I still remember how much I struggled to fulfill a certain campaign mission that required 1.5M potential damage and surviving the battle on a DD. Aside from that, sometimes something happens that really makes me question the playerbase: in a different battle (map Hotspot), the red Yamagiri with RPF on my flank (east, lines 9-10) so I'm constantly radiolocated. After capping C, the red Shimakaze also comes to the flank, smokes up at line 9 and shares it with Yamagiri, then both start shooting at a friendly BB on the same line as them. I torp their smoke as I move to their side along line 10 (so clearly not in the direction of the BB), Devastating and Double Strike as a result. Shimakaze can be excused to a degree, but Yamagiri knew from before that I was there and had the tools to figure out he was in danger. I sailed my Tier-6 German Destroyer, the K. Schonberg, into a Co-op battle merely to train the Captain. I found myself in an "all 'Bots" game, wherein I was the only human player. "Challenge accepted"! 🙂 I was nearly sunk on multiple occasions and was fighting too many opponents simultaneously at times. With perseverence came Victory, though. 🙂 Good game. 202,239 credits and 1,441 XP and 187 FreeXP earned. 79,837 points of damage done. 66 main-gun hits 4 torpedo hits 5 incapactitations 5 ships sunk 3 fires set 3 floodings caused 3 citadel hits 3 ships spotted ribbons 12 depth-charge hits Top of the leader-board, with 563 baseXP 22,553 damage done to a Kijkduin (sunk) 17,961 damage done to a K.
