I mean its like using it when playing a CV. I rather not since its probably one of the top things killing CV players. Almost perfect match play, but lost due to a horrible mistake by an Emerald that yoloed against a WV44, and we were leading by points ... He just should have stayed hidden. OldSchoolGaming_Youtube Posted July 8 Share Posted July 8 Not an awesome game in the Golden Lion by any stretch of the imagination, but its not every day you tank 3 Million in potential damage in a cruiser..... Pretty much the entire enemy team was shooting me any time I was spotted, including the CV that tried to drop me several times even tho my AA Specced Golden pretty much evaporated his squads at every turn. Love the combination of speed and fast reloading long range torpedoes (for T VII). Very first game in a P v P mode too. "Taschkent 39" does remind me of a fast Frenchie with an IJN torp boat under her clothes. Done decent work with three kills on top of it. OldSchoolGaming_Youtube Posted July 8 Share Posted July 8 Gotta say .... it was a genius move by WG to give plane squadrons to DDs .... 5 min into the game, our Halford is chillin back with the BBs, no spotting on the flank whatsoever .... because our DD is parked and are flying planes across the map..... 6 min in, Halford has still not spotted anything ... hes parked behind and island .... flying planes... 10 min in .... half the game has passed. Halford FINALLY stepped onto A cap .... after half the game .... Still not spotting anything tho .... because hes parked behind and islands .......... guessing hes about to launch some planes .... Gotta give WG some credit for this genius move! More planes to more ships so we all can sit parked behind islands and only planes flying around .... Sounds weirdly like another game title.... And dont forget, you guys that LOVE German cruisers like Mainz and Hinden .... will soon also get a hybrid so you also can fly planes all game.... Now I have finally acquired / grinded "Manfred v. Richthofen" too, which represents the increase of nice to me. Both Graf v. Zeppelin and "MVR" are giving meaning to the term "evil twins" lol. But it was the game (WG) that introduced them and it wouldn't be hard to foresee what would happen when you give that armament to DD C lass considering all the BB hybrids that park behind islands and just fly planes. It was kind of a pant on head idea from the start, regardless of the historical facts or not. Exact same whould happen if they give planes to Subs (which, lets face it ... they probably will) and then we have both DDs and Subs parked in back line and a lot of puny planes flying around instead. Nothing special, but when you get those teams that obviously all know what they are doing, but don't speak a word in chat... and manage to out farm them, if even by a few xp, when it's all about farming KW and only have 3 kills to show for it.
